I’ve updated the code to have a lookup table for aliases and added your example nick/name as a default.

I guess adding more would be simple, but I don’t follow IRC enough to know who to add by default so I’ll just leave it at that unless people want to send me changes.

(For reference I was in the same conversation as Lars, so it wasn’t exactly five hours later. I posted an initial version into the channel at the time, and then later figured using dbus was a better approach
